What Does SEO Stand For?

Basically, it's the process of doing things on your website so that google and humans love us.
If google loves your website and understands what’s on it, she will definitely use your website in her search results.
Think of SEO like this - It’s a long list of things we can do. Some of the things on the SEO list are hard and technical and should be done by an expert. Other things on the SEO list are easy and regular business owners can do their own SEO.
Why is SEO important?
Picture yourself using search engines like Google. When you search for something, you typically click on one of the first few results that come up. Rarely do you venture beyond the first one to two page of results.
The purpose of SEO is to get your website on page 1 of the google results for certain words and phrases.
3 Easy SEO Tips
SEO can be a complex topic, but there are many easy things you can do to improve your website's SEO and improve your ranking.
Mobile First Website Design
MOBILE FIRST Google is judging our websites on how our website looks & works in mobile view first. Google prioritises websites that are easy to use and quick to load. Google primarily uses the mobile version of the webpage for ranking and indexing. Have you checked to make sure your website is mobile-friendly and loads quickly.
2. Keywords In Headings
USE GOOD KEYWORDS IN YOUR HEADINGS It’s really important that you use relevant keywords into your website's content, but even more important to have them in your headings.
Humans scan headings. (and they do not read every word you have written).
Google also scans headings - that’s one of the jobs of her spiders and robots that she sends out to index your website. She scans your headings to understand what your website and helps her work out what to file your under.
3. Update Your Website Monthly
REGULAR WEBSITE UPDATES is crucial. Google loves fresh and up to date content. She loves websites that have relevant and helpful content & information. Humans also prefer up to date information - I know myself that if I saw information from 2019 and 2022, I’m definitely going to click on the most recent info!
Think of it like this, if you don’t change anything on your website for a long time, google will stop sending her spiders and robots out to scan your website.
Keep giving her fresh changes and updates so that every time she visits (indexes) she has new information to put in her big ole filing cabinet. Regularly update your website with high-quality, relevant content. This will show search engines that your website is active and trustworthy, which can improve its rankings.
